Employee of the Month

 Denise Stapleton is the October Employee of the Month for Canton Junior High School

 
Mrs. Stapleton is a 7th grade Science Teacher at CJH. She is a Commerce High School graduate from Commerce, Texas and received her degree from East Texas State University and Colorado State University. She is married to Steven Stapleton and has two children, Garrett and Lana. Hobbies that Mrs. Stapleton enjoys are keeping up with family and being outside. 
 
Mrs. Stapleton has been employed with Canton ISD for 8 years and what she enjoys most about her job is seeing the twinkle in her student's eyes when they discover and learn something new. This usually happens in labs.
 
Mr. Tracy, CJH Principal says that Mrs. Stapleton has an excellent work ethic that transcends her classroom as well as the campus. She is an asset to the campus adding great value to our students and staff each day.

Principal's Message

 
The last week of the first nine weeks is upon us!  This year has flown by at weeks in one quarter will be behind us.  All week this week our students will be buttoning up their grades, completing nine weeks assessments in addition to submitting any final assignments.  Please encourage your student to finish strong, after Friday the grades are locked in and will then be averaged with the next nine weeks to determine semester averages.
 
In sports news our highly competitive and successful volleyball team will host Rains tonight and our very entertaining football team will travel to Wills Point on Thursday.
 
On Wednesday this week we will have our annual Grandparents breakfast to coincide with the Junior High Book Fair which will start today and continue through Friday.
 
Never a dull moment at the Junior High!
