My name is Mrs. Burke.  I teach Math 6 here at Canton Junior High. This is an awesome place to be.

 

To tell you a little about myself, This is my 16th year teaching, but it is my second year here at Canton Junior High.  My husband is retired from active duty in the Air Force, so I have had the opportunity to live and teach in many different places around the world.

 

I am looking forward to the adventures we will have together in our learning this year.  Take a look at the units we will work through this year. Here is a link to our Scope and Sequence so you can take a look at when we plan to cover each TEK.

  • Unit 10:  Data Analysis
  • Unit 11:  Personal Finance Literacy
 
Here is a list of Classroom Supplies:
    • 1-in, 3 ring binder WITH pockets
    • Pack of dividers
    • 2 sharpened pencils every day OR a mechanical pencil WITH lead
    • Colored pencils
    • Notebook paper
    • Scissors
    • Glue stick - as needed
    • Earbuds/Headphones
    • Black dry erase markers (purchase a pack and be ready to replace as needed)
    • A box of tissue would be greatly appreciated
 

Most of the communication this year will be through email, however, I do have a Remind notification set up and may be used for some things. Please join your child's class by sending the code for their class period to 81010.
