Registration Information

Online Registration for  RETURNING students will be April 22, 2024 through May 17, 2024. Online Registration for  NEW to the District student registration will begin on July 1, 2024. New to the District parents will need to come in person to CJH to complete the enrollment process beginning August 2, 2024.

FOR CJH RETURNING STUDENTS: IF ALL ONLINE REGISTRATION IS COMPLETED ALONG WITH PROOF OF RESIDENCE UPLOADED OR EMAILED (UNLESS THE BILL IS NOT IN YOUR NAME), YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO COME TO IN-PERSON REGISTRATION.

Canton ISD will be using two separate programs for registration this year. 

• 1st Step - ParentPortal - This will be used for the online enrollment process (can be accessed through a computer and mobile device).

• 2nd Step - Permission Click - This will be used for the forms that are specific to each campus and not offered through ParentPortal (can be accessed through a computer and mobile device).

Canton ISD will be sending this information out through SchoolMessenger and will be accessible on CJH website at js.cantonisd.net under the “PARENT” tab, and dropdown list to “REGISTRATION”.

Returning Student Registration

If you are a RETURNING student at Canton Junior High  you will need to complete and provide the information in the following order:

1. Complete the online registration process through the ParentPortal link below (if you need to  enroll a new sibling, login to your existing account, click on the bald man icon located at the top right of the page, click on “My Account“, and “Enroll a New Student”. DO NOT CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT!
2. Complete the additional CAMPUS FORMS online using the links below. 
3. Upload PROOF OF RESIDENCE (water, electric, or monthly gas bill) into the CJH Proof Of Residence online form or email it to the campus registrar at [email protected]. If the bill is not in the parent/guardian name, contact the campus registrar for further instructions.

CJH New Student Registration

If you are a NEW student at Canton Junior High you will need to complete and provide the information in the following order:

1. Complete the online registration process through the ParentPortal link BELOW (when you access the account, use the “Create Account” tab). (If you have a sibling that you are enrolling, DO NOT CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT, click on the bald man icon located at the top left of the page, click on  “My Account”, and “Enroll a New Student”.
2. Complete the CAMPUS FORMS using the links below. 
3. Upload PROOF OF RESIDENCE (water, electric, or monthly gas bill) into the CJH Proof Of Residence online form or email it to the campus registrar at [email protected]. If the bill is not in the parent/guardian name, contact the campus registrar for further instructions.

• Deliver the following documents to the campus in person:

1. “OFFICIAL”  birth certificate.
2. Student’s social security card.
3. Parent/guardian driver's license.
4. Student’s current shot record.
5. Withdraw paperwork with grades from previous school.

Campus Forms Links for STUDENTS are required to be completed as well and are located below the Parent/Guardian forms.

PLEASE NOTE: When you COMPLETE EACH CAMPUS FORM there is an option to SUBMIT ANOTHER RESPONSE. DO NOT SUBMIT ANOTHER RESPONSE.

To convert the forms into different languages click on the ENGLISH down button located in the top right hand side of the form and choose your language.

PARENTS ONLY Click on the PARENTPORTAL LINK or QR CODE and the CAMPUS FORMS LINK or QR CODE that applies to your child. ONCE YOU HAVE COMPLETED A CAMPUS FORM, THE LINK TO THE NEXT FORM WILL BE GENERATED.
ASCENDER PARENT PORTAL LINK FOR RETURNING &  NEW TO THE DISTRICT STUDENTS PARENTPORTAL LINK CLICK HERE ParentPortal Issues Parents are having issues accessing the correct ParentPortal login screen using Google Chrome. If you are using Google Chrome or any other browser and the login screen looks gray (the correct screen will be brown/black/orange) and does not have the four tabs across the top (Login, Create Account, New Student Enrollment & CISD Documents), please switch to the Firefox browser.
CAMPUS FORMS FOR RETURNING STUDENTS There are 10 CJH Returning Student Campus Forms that need to be completed by parents/guardians in order to complete the registration process. To access those forms, click on the link below to begin. After you have clicked “SUBMIT RESPONSE” a link to the yext form is provided. LINK TO CJH RETURNING CAMPUS FORMS   DO NOT “START A  NEW RESPONSE”	CAMPUS FORMS FOR NEW STUDENTS There are 11 CJH New Student Campus Forms that need to be completed by parents/guardians in order to complete the registration process. To access those forms, click on the link below to begin. After you have clicked “SUBMIT RESPONSE” a link to the yext form is provided. PLEASE NOTE: All registration steps MUST be completed before a student is placed in a teacher's class. The “Free and Reduced Lunch Form” will be sent out through SchoolMessenger in July 2024.

If you do not have access to a computer or internet you may complete the online registration at the Canton ISD Administration Office at the following times: 

• Monday - Thursday - 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Friday - 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. 

• Monday - Thursday - 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. during the summer.
