Welcome to Ms. Ramirez's Class

My name is Sherri Ramirez, and I teach 6th grade ELA/ELAR. This will be my 18th year at Canton Jr. High and my 32nd year in education overall. How time flies!

I am an avid traveler who enjoys running with a purpose: to raise money and awareness for Muscular Dystrophy. I am also the proud mother of a Texas A&M Aggie named Bella. She is absolutely my sunshine! In addition to being a mom, traveler, and runner, I am also a self-professed WORD NERD and love to share my love of the English language with my students! I operate on coffee, sarcasm, and humor, so it is rarely a dull moment in my classroom!

As for curriculum, my classes will cover a variety of topics, including parts of speech, short stories, novels, book reviews, research projects, poetry, and writing.
