Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year at Canton Junior High!

Entering Junior High is a significant milestone for students and their families, but rest assured, you're not alone. Our dedicated faculty and staff are committed to ensuring a smooth transition for incoming 6th graders and new students, while also supporting returning students as they pursue building upon the strong work ethic, citizenship,
and character they've already established in our community. These years are when students begin to discover their identities, establish and foster lifelong friendships, and determine their future goals. Our staff is here to help students navigate this process by motivating them to take ownership of their learning and encouraging them to get involved by participating in any of the extracurricular activities we have to offer. The pursuit of excellence is at the heart of everything we do, and we are committed to helping students reach their goals.

As principal, my goal is to foster an atmosphere where all students feel valued, respected, and encouraged to reach their fullest potential. By working together, we will continue to uphold Canton ISD's mission of empowering students to become lifelong learners committed to academic excellence, integrity, responsible citizenship, and service to others.
