Welcome to 7th Grade Reading

Welcome to 7th grade Reading! The 2023-2024 school year will be my 30th year in education but my first year here in Canton. My husband and I moved here from the Houston area last fall. I've lived in 5 different states but Canton, Texas is by far my favorite place to live. I earned my bachelor's degree in Education from Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers!) and my master's degree in School Library & Information Science from University of Houston - Clear Lake. Over the years I've taught grades from 4th through 8th and I've been junior high school librarian and I'm very excited to be teaching reading here in Canton! 

 

I firmly believe that achieving mastery is a matter of practice. Since this is a reading class that will mean we will be doing a lot of reading!
